Davao Region in numbers

The 2023 National Nutrition Survey put overweight and obesity in the Davao Region slightly above the national level. Among adults aged 20 to 59, 57.9% in the region had overweight or obesity, compared with 57.1% for the whole country.

High fasting blood glucose sat at about the national level: 7.6% of adults aged 20 to 59 in the region, against 7.5% nationally. That figure comes from a single fasting test at or above 126, so it is not a count of people diagnosed with diabetes.

The city itself is large and mostly urban. PSA's 2024 census counted 1,848,947 people in the City of Davao, with 91.8% living in urban barangays. The prescription rule

Under RA 10918, the Philippine Pharmacy Act, Section 33: "Prescription medicines may be dispensed only by a duly registered and licensed pharmacist and only with a valid prescription of a physician, dentist, or veterinarian."

A different route applies to branded medicines. A doctor may issue an e-prescription for one such as Ozempic or Mounjaro if you qualify. Obra does not procure or supply branded medicines; the pharmacy of your choice fills the prescription, and you pay that pharmacy for the medicine.

Davao heat and pen storage

PAGASA's climate normals for its Davao City station (1991 to 2020) give an average daily maximum of 32.0 °C over the year. April is the hottest month, at 33.1 °C.

The three Philippine package inserts word the storage limits differently:

• Ozempic pen: in a refrigerator at 2 to 8 °C before first use; after first use, up to 6 weeks, "Store below 30°C or in a refrigerator (2°C to 8°C)."
• Wegovy FlexTouch pen: the same 6 weeks after first use, below 30 °C or in a refrigerator.
• Mounjaro KwikPen: in a refrigerator before first use; after first use, "Store unrefrigerated at room temperature below 30 ºC," and discard it 30 days after first use.
